My work is about a car that is turning. I used contrast in my piece to convey a realistic feel to my piece.
I created my piece my using charcoal to create value and contrast. I used mostly the vine charcoal to out line important details of my piece. I used the compressed charcoal to create value.
The meaning behind my art to show what I'm interested in on my free time. I tried to show joy in my piece.
My goal in this piece was to use new media correctly to create art. This piece did not help me reach my goal because it needs more contrast in it to be successful.
I learned that I'm terrible with charcoal. My piece did not go the way I wanted because it is messy. This influence me to never use charcoal again.
My art looks like a cookie jar with a star on it. I was Going for a western themed cookie jar and when I add color it will be white and black.
I made this piece by using clay. I mostly used the coil technique to shape my jar.I also smoothed the inside of the jar and the outside to make it looked round.
My art work express the joy. I tried to show a lot of happiness in my piece.I was inspired to do this piece because I did not do a good job in 9th grade with clay.
My goals as an artist was to prove to myself that I can use a variety of media to create art. This piece showed me that I can use clay effectively to create art.
I learned that with clay you have to keep it moist to make your piece look good.My final piece did not turn out like i wanted because i did not smooth out areas that I needed.

The title my piece is handshake because the main point of this piece is to be carful who you trust.The piece is showing two guys shaking hands with a colored background.
I created my piece by using water colored paint.I used a flat brush for the background and used a round brush for the outline. The main thing I used was the round brush getting the outline right.
The main point my piece is showing is how the U.S. is the more divided more than ever now than it has been in the past. The white faces, and the blue and red background represents the flag. The Green and black are showing different
My piece shows an old town by a river.you can see the wood texture in my piece to show buildings and how they were built.The Landscape shoes water and mountains.
This piece was created using water color paint. I used techniques like wet on dry and wet on wet.I had to put a couple of layers to get the brown I wanted.
the idea was to show my interest in old towns. I wanted to get the layers in but I overworked my paper and started to mess up.
My goals in this piece was to show improvement with watercolor and learn from it.I Think now I can learn from my mistakes I made in this piece
Overall I'm not happy with my piece because it did not turn out realistic and its messy. I will learn from the mistakes from this piece and improve.

Artist Statement:
My inspiration for this piece is to show one of the most iconic interment today. And I used to play the guitar and I had a cool red one that looked almost the same.
The process I used was using tight lines and using value with textures made up of lines.The thing I used the most was stippling for the shadows and lines for the string.
